ZodNEO is a NEOGEO MVS emulator based on MAME v0.36. It uses its own memory
manager for handling large games so that UDMH is not required.
The CPU cores (68000, Z80) currently are not using the ARM ASM cores such as
Cyclone due to problems with those. Performance with the Cyclone 68000 would
be dramatically faster, but for now the speed is generally good due to the
extensive ATI graphics chip optimisations.
ZodNEO is a spin off of ZodMAME and was split so that memory can be managed
differently (hence no need for UDMH), plus other parts of the drivers
could be optimised directly for NEOGEO games.
ISSUES
* Very large NEOGEO games are not currently supported due to the memory
requirements. More games will be supported in future.
* 16bit colour support isn't fully implemented so some 16bit games will
have freaky graphics.
* Stereo Sound is supported but none of the games currently play fast
enough with the sound switched on to make this useable.
